This Paua Korowai is a special cloak inspired by the paua shell found in the waters of Aotearoa. The paua, with its vibrant, shifting colours, symbolizes connectivity and harmony in relationships, reflecting the Māori belief that it brings balance and unity. The changing hues of the shell also represent change and transition, reminding us that, like the paua, we are always evolving as we journey through life.
The colours used in this korowai reflect the ocean’s movement and the passage of time, symbolizing the enduring presence of our ancestors.
