Inspired by the natural beauty of the pikake (peacock) and its stunning iridescent feathers.

I've always admired the beautiful colours of peacock feathers, especially the way they reflect different shades of blue, green and gold in the light.

I wanted to create a käkahu that captured that same beauty while incorporating our Mäori designs and patterns.

He Kakahu Pikake features a black and gold Patiki taniko band, complemented by natural peacock feathers blended with vibrant turquoise feathers.

Every feather has been carefully placed to bring this vision to life. A beautiful combination of nature, culture and contemporary Maori artistry.
