This korowai carries the wairua of abundance, prosperity, and good fortune. The pātiki taniko band speaks to blessings and favourable times ahead, a tohu of wellbeing and balance. Pale blue feathers represent the awa and the life they bring, flowing through the whenua like veins through the body. Natural green feathers reflect the ngahere and the strength of the land. Stitched together, these elements honour the taiao and our deep connection to Papatuanuku and the wai that sustains us. A cloak for new beginnings, grounded in tikanga and guided by aroha.
